Air conditioner vents
Is there a consensus on aiming of the round a/c vents for the best efficiency? Or does it really make any difference? Thanks in advance.

I think the trick is making sure the return air vents are not collapsed or plugged with wood scraps. Lots of information on this subject if you do a search. In the bedroom make sure that the ceiling vents are not pointing towards the little black sensor for the upstairs AC, my sensor is in the door side forward area of the bedroom.

I aim them so that the cool air is spread around, but not in the direction of the Thermostat or the bedroom sensor.

Like DQDick, I try and aim the fins away from the thermostat to cool off more space than not. I suppose some Easterners are gonna be irritated by us discussing A/C vents.

Or how about getting rid of the vents all together like a lot of us so it free flows down instead of up or sideways at the hot ceiling it made a big difference for me as well as putting PVC pipes up there to prop up the ceiling for more flow like others have said do a search and see how I and others have posted the mods like this http://s1275.photobucket.com/user/to...remw6.jpg.html

I like what you did with the screening to replace the OEM directional fins.
