We found our problem to be the same issue that Steve (sreigle) posted and no more water near refrigerator.

When you slides are pulled in, run your hand around the frame that butts up against the wall when extended. You should feel a rubber "seal" there. It is what seals the slide to the wall and keeps water from coming in.

The seal that you see on the outside, is the "wiper seal." It's purpose is to squeegee the water off the side of the slide so you don't get a puddle on the inside when you retract after a rain. I used to take an awning tool and make sure the outside were facing the right way after extending, then found out the don't seal, so I just leave them alone now - unless I'm trying to get away from doing something the DW wants done. Then it's an excuse.
