2015 Montana Norcold 4 door refrigerators

Has anyone had issues with that 4 door Norcold in I think the 2015 models popping open doors as you tow? This was the first time for us and the roads were wonderful. what the heck will happen on the Alaska Highway next year?

No problem with ours coming open just a problem with me sometimes failing to shut the darn doors all the way.

We just make sure to push the doors closed until they click. Never had a door open yet.

Happened to me. I added a spacer to the right side facing door (upper and lower). No more problems.

What do you mean by a spacer?
Thanks

Haven't ever had one come open, but if I need a better latch I'd add a spacer where the door latch goes into the hole.

I just took the door off and added a nylon washer to the metal post the door rests on. It raised it up enough where the the device that clicks when the door closes was more secure. That was the problem on our unit. No issues since.

In two years, no problems with our Norcold doors. However, as others have said, I do give them a push just to hear the definite "click" and make sure they are latched securely.

We only have the 2 door refer which had the problem of the refer door popping open also. I noticed the latch wasn't clicking into the rectangular hole at the top as designed. I simply took the handle off and extended the hole hieght a little and wha-la, no more door openings. It seems that the hole to set to close to the latch. Hope this helps.

Bob, I have the same year model and have not noticed any issue with the doors coming unlatched. I went out this morning to look at the alignment of the latches on the doors and I don't see any that causes me concern. I will now be more cognizant of the issue.

Now that we are home and the unit is shut down, I noticed that almost everytime I close the left door, with that black flexible what ever hinge, did not fully seat around the top retainer. With a little push then it wraps around flat. Anyway the trailer is going in for some other warranty work. Norcold wants the techs to check and realign the doors.

My Norcold has a small latch on the handle to lock the door shut.

Also used a nylon washer to raise door and that helped with the seal so that freezer doesn't frost up any more!
