Storage Compartment Doors

The rubber gaskets on my 2017 Montana 3721rl do not seem to provide a water proof seal during rain or when trailering in the rain. Any suggestions or remedies? Condition is not severe but could get worse.

I have had that problem with my other brand camper, i found out the water was leaking passed the aluminum door frame wrap ( the frame on the door itself) and seeping inside and leaving my floor wet. so i silicone the frame wrap around the door and made sure the weep holes were open on the bottom of the door and the water stopped.

We had a seal replaced under warranty. It was glued across the top to the door and not the frame. The seal they replaced it with was a much better seal so you if the advise above doesn't work, replace the seal.

My basement storage doors would leak and form a puddle in the front corner. I tried many fixes but the one that worked was the sealing around the frame of the doors on the outside with clear silicone. The doors are styrofoam filled and the surrounding frame isn't sealed to the door panel. No more puddles.
The water was wicking to the inside of the door panels and filling up to where it would run out the inside latch cut-out. Took forever to find the culprit.

I had the same issue with my basement doors also. Silicone caulk did the job.

Door Seal

Was at a Regional RV Show this past Weekend, had a Keystone Rep. there.
Asked him why the Drivers side Basement Doors were not made to swing in 2 Sections left and right ?
Said they had a problem with them leaking ?
My 2010 295RK never has to this day, leaked ?
Also mentioned to him, at 6'2, one cannot see what you are doing when the Cargo Doors only come up halfway, said the Slide gets in the way for it to go all the way up, like the other side.

Would hesitate to buy a newer Model down the Line, if the Service Door to drain and water hookup is made this way.
Would get a crook in my neck and back, plus a couple of bumps on my head.

I put drip rails over the tops of all my compartment doors. If you google Vintage drip rails you should find them. They come in many lengths and adhere to the camper with automotive grade 3m tape (supplied my me).

These will ensure nothing gets in from to top down but will not do much while driving in a hard rain.
