We thought we knew what propane smelled like.
During our recent fourth of July family campout at the farm. We had this experience. One morning Fredrica noticed a "bad smell" which was centered in the doorway of our 3255RL. We expected the worst and carfully checked the carpet for signs of tracked in "Doggy do". Found nothing but that was the kind of smell that was persistent in the door area. In spite of much traffic in and out of the 5er the carpet was clean. Finally we noticed that one of the gas stove burners was partly turned on but unlit. Eureka the source of the gastly smell, propane!! Problem solved?
Maybe but why didn't it smell like propane smells when we change tanks etc. Also why didn't the gas detector sound off.
Anybody got this figured out? Any information would be a start.
