shower door bottom sweep

I can't find the correct material to prevent water from escaping from the void at the bottom of the shower door. I find similar, but not the correct material. The material I find the "sweep" is offset about a 3/16 to a 1/4 inch. what I need the sweep is directly under the part that attaches to the door. In the picture the example on the right is the correct, the left won't work.

That's similar to the one I used. It just re-directs the water back into the shower. They come in different widths. This one in 1/2 inch. Measure the thickness of the bottom of the door and get the correct size.

What year?

Chances are it’s made by Shower Enclosures of America (they sent me two free when I called)

http://www.seamerica.com/

Or you can get them from Trekwood

Thank you to all responding. The lead to Trekwood is where I bought the wrong one, I have contacted them and awaiting reply regarding the correct I hope they can supply or lead me to the correct.

I included a new photo I hope is clearer.

Thank you to you all.

There is likely a clear sticker on the shower glass that has the name of the manufacturer of the door. If you find that sticker it might be useful. Or what year Montana do you have?
In your original post the sweep in the right is the one that SEA sent me when I called it fits perfectly it’s not the same as the trekwood part

I have contacted SEA. Hope they aren't closed for the Virus. If they are this is still the best lead I have found so far.

Thank you ALL for helping.

I believe that one won't work in my case. The sweep part must be directly below the outside track grip. No offset. Sure appreciate you hanging jn there with me.

Here's the one that worked for me. Had to trim bottom sweeps in order for it to fit. Water deflects off of 45 degree flap...no leaks. Used a couple of dabs of clear silicone to keep in place.

Thank you. I was just getting ready to look for an alternative to the OEM. This looks like a great idea.

I received a response from Trekwood moments ago and sent them the pctures. I should hear from soon.

Thank you,
Paul

I had the same issue. On mine, the top of the door had the same type sweep that obviously is not necessary. I took it off and it fit perfectly on the bottom.

I was hoping to close this out but there is still an issue. I put the piece HBLICK48 suggested and it keeps the water in the shower very well, thank you HBLICK48. The door is misaligned though with the hinge side having a reasonable gap at the bottom and the open side of the door has so little gap that even trimming the bottom wipes completely off the new sweep, the door with the deflector attached hits hard enough that closing on the inside is difficult. The handle on the outside of the door makes closing it easy as the door must be lifted while closing.

I have considered that the hinges were warn or moved from their original location but that does not seem to be the case. Is it possible the frame has slipped down allowing that side to sag?

Does anyone know how to remove the door?

Any and all thoughts are appreciated. Thank you.

Search Amazon for shower door bottom seal. I just replaced the seal on the bottom of my home shower door. Not like yours but they had a lot of different ones available of different configurations.

Check a company that makes shower doors and glass products. That's where I got my last shower sweep for the bottom of the door.

This link didn't work but I used part of it and it got me to the place I needed to be. Thank youbleedmichigan.

The whole assembly has to be removed just to get to the hinges. It appears, looking at the "reveal" on the hinge side that the glass may have slipped a bit out of the top of the hinge side of the frame. Think Ill take a hammer and beat it back into place.

Let us know if the hammer works. I may have the same frame problem because when I trimmed mine, I had to remove most of the bottom of the sweep on the left side. Right side did not need trimming so the bottom is cut down at an angle. No problem opening and closing the door.
