Splendide but not spendid...
We've had a lot of trouble with our Splendide washer and dryer we had installed when we bought our Monty in 2018. We can't take it to the dealer for service cause we're full timers. Hard to find anyone who will work on them. Does anyone have a suggestion for another make that seems to be more reliable?...Can't be stacked and don't want the combo unit...🤔

Did you call Splendide directly? According to their user’s manual they have “over 400 qualified service centers” in the US. Never any problem with ours and I thought I remembered reading that they provided good repair service when needed.

Much as you don't want to hear it, you have the best brand. Their customer service folks are easy to work with and if they can't walk you thru fixing it yourself they can find a dealer or mobile tech who can. 9 years of full timing was hard on ours, but they took care of us. We had to have ours fixed once and we arranged to have it fixed the same day. The other time they walked me thru fixing it myself once the part got there.

Four years and no issue with ours. Go to their webpage. Numbers and customer assistance available. Helpful folks, worked with them when I installed ours, and ordered the drain pan and lockdown latches directly from them.

We've had a combo unit and two stackables. With the exception of one broken dryer belt, no problems.

Sorry to hear about you issue. We have a Splendide washer and vented dryer and fortunately they have worked without incident.
Consider contacting Splendide below or a local appliance service company.

I've had Splendide stackable for 10 years. and only issue we have had is the washing machine catch. Now it is on my fall winterization list. Clean it out before running the antifreeze into it. One or 2 coins will make it not work.

We have had our combo unit for 5 years ,we are full time and it gets used every day. We have had no problems, you do have to clean it regularly so it will dry properly.

If its a combo make sure the vent is cleaned once a year. It gets clogged with lint and it starts to error out with an overheat code.

We have the Splendide washer and dryer in our 2018 unit and I would describe them as just passable. The dryer takes forever even on high heat and the washer has failed twice. Serviced once by the dealer under warranty and the second time by myself when we were in Goshen last year for the rally. The repair center in Goshen was backed up for 2 weeks.

Update: Had a local on site service tech look at the unit. He said needed new door switch, timer, and on/off switch...$500+ installed. Found the # for the US Splendide service dept. They walked me through a diagnostic process...(most patient and helpful two guys I've ever talked to) Finally discovered it was a over heating sensor. Bypassed it, the dryer works like charm and the new part is $12.00...and easily accessible and installed...Happy camper again!😁

I appreciate your posting the resolution for the rest of us. I own the Splendide washer and dryer side by side in my 3813 but to new to say anything. I bought them because they were in use at my local Camping Worlds detail department. They keep them outdoors under a tarp at night and run dirty towels through them all day. When I saw them they were sun damaged and looked pretty old. I asked the man cleaning RV's how many loads they did (about 4 per day) and how old they were (older than his 4 years there) and was pleased to hear that they did not take new inventory but that they were pulled out of a used RV before auctioning it off.
Well that impressed me enough to buy them, I hope for both of our sakes that they last a long time!

What the consensus on the vented vs self vented dryer. Do most people like the washer/dryer combo or is it btter to buy separate?? the guy at Camper World said the self vented units take alot longer to dry laundry?? Thanks Everyone!!

We have a separate Splendide washer and vented dryer. Dryer is fast like our home dryer.

You could not give me a "Ventless Dryer"! I've heard enough Horror stories about the ventless. We had two Vented Combo units and now have the stacked unit and have loved all.

We love our ventless splendide 7100xc. We first decided to go with the combo unit to save space and be able to use the space above it for storage. I then decided to go ventless because I didn't want to cut a hole for a vent in the side of my new trailer.
It does take awhile to dry but that's no problem for me. I turn it on and forget about it. Sometimes I hang clothes in the shower to keep from using the electricity, sometimes not. When in florida or here in the summer we hang clothes on an attachment we bought that mounts to the rv ladder. I'd do the same thing if I had a conventional dryer.
