Fuel Prices?
I NEVER thought that I would see regular gasoline at $2.90 a gallon again. I am sure that it won't last but I'm sure enjoying it while it lasts! The only problem is my wife is working and we can't pull the Montana anywhere!

Had to drive the truck to Chicago and back today (without Montana). Found diesel below I-80 for $3.72 which was the cheapest I have seen it in this area for awhile.

Here in Oregon we will never see gas under $3.00 a gallon, guaranteed.Diesel is $3.89 to $3.99 a gal. I'm sure Calif. and Washington are worse.

I think it was Texas, but maybe OK the Loves/Flying J only had BioDiesel. The clerk said she thought that was all anyone sold. Anyone else heard of this?
Also, it was $3.89 and about 50-100 miles down the road it was 3.46.
Assume bio costs more.

Pilot/Flying J are the same company, Love's is different. If it was Pilot/Flying J, it doesn't pay to fuel there unless you have a discount card.

Actually CA is *CHEAPER* than either OR (we just returned from there) or WA (we were in Seattle in August and WA fuel was cheaper than OR). Regular gas is down to $3.23 (and going lower supposedly) and diesel is $3.72 here by the house. I know prices along the Interstate are higher because they can get away with it. As for getting under $3.00 here in CA, I don't believe it.

$3.65 diesel and $3.22 gas is the cheapest I've seen it here in the northeast.

We are currently in Glen Ellyn, IL (west of Chicago about 20 miles) and best diesel price I've seen has been $3.44. I believe that was at a SpeedWay station. Dennis

In San Antonio, diesel sells for $3.51 at local food store but is generally $3.65 elsewhere. Regular gas is $2.95. May go down a bit but will definitely go up in mid Nov thru mid Jan. to catch holiday travelers. Oil companies will make up some excuse about this or that to raise the price--basically the CEO needs a new 150 foot yacht! By the way, San Antonio is just west of the Eagle Ford Shale oil fields--this area will hit 1,000,000 barrel a day this month! Yes 1 MILLION. 5 to 7 years ago it was barely above 10,000 barrels.

In Springfield, Mo. $3.43 @ WM with a card and $2.98 gas. However diesel will vary $.10-15 a gal sometimes daily.

$3.35 in beautiful downtown Ketchum Ok. (pop 300). IMO diesel costs more than gasoline is because the politicians decided this was a way to raise taxes without anyone noticing it. There are only a few cents difference in the two in Canada. Of course the extra tax in the US is passed on to us all, but nobody realizes it's a tax increase.

There are some areas, that in effect, mandate the use of BioDiesel with a few exceptions. The Minnesota state legislature passed one of those mandates this past July. Fortunately, I'm able to use Bio, but those who can't, have to either avoid those areas or use other measures. The federal regulations required to reduce emissions are largely responsible as to why diesel now costs more than gasoline. Therefore, you can thank our government. On the other hand, diesel is used by practically every semi today, so it's a supply/demand issue. I also find it interesting on how "we" (that means all of citizens) have become desensitized to $3/gal. for gas and $3.5 for diesel. That's still pricey in my book and we're elated. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to be paying less, but just think of where else you could spend that money and help our commerce!
