Thank you. Previous owner put a coating on the rubber roof that is now peeling off. do you by chance know how to strip the rest of it off?

First let me qualify this - I don’t know what you could do to remove the old coating…but if I was in your shoes, I would focus on the roof caulk and make sure you touch up or re-do those joints. Is the coating flaking off? Tiny flakes or big flakes? Is it simply crazed and cracked and ugly? Either way I don’t think there is a way to get it off without possibly damaging or tearing your membrane. As long as it is not leaking and your caulk/sealant is good - I would let sleeping dogs lie.

I will add that on several of my past RVs I have used eternabond tape on the roofs. I may use it on this RV in the future.

I do plan to replace the caulking around all vents etc. as far as the rubber roof coating it is coming off in large pieces as well as small ones. Someone did a very poor job of peeping and coating it. Not sure which way I will go after the caulking is done. Thanks for the reply

Just curious...I recently removed the MaxAir vent inside our 2019 and looked at the roof material. It's all white, both sides, which I read was TPO. I also read that EPDM would have a black rubber backing. Was that what you have? Did Keystone change from EPDM to TPO between 2008 and 2019 and if so, Why?
