I added a hitch to the back of my 2015 3625RE a couple years ago. 300/3000 capacity. It was a Curt adjustable that I purchased from e-trailer. I drilled through the frame and bolted it on. Also bought an e-bike rack and the combo works well. I tried the front hitch for the truck for a while and it was awkward in tight areas.

also if you have any recommendation to which bikes to purchase
Very few RV's if any have a strong enough hitch receiver for 2 electric bikes. We plan on getting fold ups from RAD and store in the back seat (with seat folded up).
The problem is each bike weighs between 55 and 75 lbs, the carrier is likely 50 to 100 lbs. If as in my case the factory receiver is too close to the back of the RV you need a hitch receiver extender then the weight carrying ability of that is much reduced. I don't remember the math, but it is a lot.
we haven't even addressed the fact that those bikes and carrier are on the end of a long lever bouncing up and down and that dynamic weight is going to be approaching 4 digits. If you are strong, there is a hitch that goes on the fron of the RV, you need custom fabricating to create the receiver, welding etc but I am too old to get up there. You can also go with a front receiver but again it's a custom receiver install. I have a lot of room, maybe 3 ft by almost 8 behind the front seat so 2 fold ups fit with ease.

We had a couple of cheap mountain bikes that rode on the back for awhile that got so nasty and corroded that we donated them in Cedar City, UT rack and all.

Our Rad Mini's should be here Sunday and in prep for them we bought two 50 gallon bins from Walmart:

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Sterilite...anium/15940602

If all goes like in the video they'll ride safe and sound in the basement.

Here is a picture I found on line of one in a tub and a picture of the tubs we bought in our basement.

I'll be sure to do a followup once they get here.

I have 2 (lectric bikes) they were $900 and they fold. They are about 60 lbs and I keep them in the storage area in our 385br. I have also carried them in the truck bed between the tail gate and 5th wheel after folding them. They both fit there.
Love the bikes.

Make sure you use some good locks with your investment. We use 2-3 high-end locks on each of our Pedego bikes. We have been a victim to theft with our bicycles and mopeds too many times in our life so we use a lot of hardened steel.

thanks for all the info, i am leaning towards the lectric or rads mini.

One last question and i think i know the answer but ill ask it anyway.

Is it a "NO-NO" to lay the bikes on their side? I have'nt heard anyone mention it but it seems that would take up the least amount of space in my basement.

With the Lectric bikes we have, laying them on their side is not a problem aside from possible scratches and such, no different than a normal bike. I'm not sure why it would be a "NO-NO".

I don't think it makes any difference at all if you lay them on their side. Obviously not on the shifter side which (I'm pretty sure) is also these side where the motor wire comes out of the real axle.

Just an FYI.

I just got refunded for an order I placed on Amazon back in December for a different brand of bikes that never showed up.

After doing some digging I discovered that I didn't research the seller (third party) enough. They were new with no reviews. Tracking number was never good but I still had to wait for the last day of expected delivery window to expire before I could file a claim. Amazon was spot on and I had my money back the next day but the it was a total PITA. I ordered our Rad's direct. They're on the truck out for delivery right now.

Thank you. I've seen some horror stories about this very thing. I just watched a very enlightening video on this very subject.

Bikes arrived early (in a total downpour). My fears that because they were "Mini's" and folders that they would be too small were totally unfounded. Too muddy to attempt loading them in the tubs underneath but looking at them folded I'm sure they'll fit just fine.

The Brooks saddles are from our old bikes. The bikes came with typical padded vinyl seats.

Thanks. It's tough waiting for nice weather (35 today here in western NC). We'll be wintering back in SoCal next year so we'll get to ride them year round.

Here are the final pictures of them. The tubs are absolutely perfect. They JUST fit height wise through the basement door.

We fold and lay ours in the back of the truck on a yoga pad to prevent scratches. Fits nicely under the tonneau cover for transport to further away biking trail. I have a big fat cable through them locking them to the truck bed tie downs.

Any chance they fit in the front storage bay next to the battery compartment? We're looking at getting a couple of the Lectric 2.0, and if they fit there it would be amazing.

I have 2 of the XP 2.0 bikes. I really doubt if they would fit in the front where the generator would go. Maybe if nothing else were in there, but you wouldn't be able to protect them from scratches. The folded dimensions on Lectric website are pretty accurate.

I'm not too concerned about scratches. I can always throw a blanket over it.
We have a 335BH with a rear slide out, so I'd have to upgrade to a swing out bike rack, which would run me over $1500.
If I can get 1 into the front storage, I can probably make room for the other in the pass through with some reorganizing.

I'd say one should fit. I have mirrors and a phone mount on ours, so with the handle bar folded that would be my only concern. You may get both up front without a lot of accessories.
