Dealer issue

Made appt for several warranty issues with our new 2018 Montana and one issue is the rear bedroom AC and thermostat turning off and on every 4....5 minutes.
When the appt day came in December which by the way took 2 months for the appt they informed me that they couldn’t do anything with the AC until summer because of outside temps.I informed him we we’re leaving for Florida in January for 3 months.I said you have 8 heated bays inside for RV’s can’t you look at it for loose connections or anything.He said no bring it back in summer if you want it repaired here otherwise have them fix it in Florida.
I can’t believe they refused to even check out the AC issue.I just received a call it’s ready to pick up this 1st week of February.I’am going to tell them that I refuse to pick it up untl the AC issue is fixed.
Any thoughts from anyone?

Mention a lawyer to the General Manager or maybe talk to Keystone?

They will be glad to store it for you and charge storage.Since you are going to Florida call Keystone customer service and have then find you a dealer in Florida that will work on it. It is a 2018 and still under warranty.

If you refuse to pick it up, chances are they will simply park it and leave it. Sounds like you have a bad dealer. Clearly don't want to work with you. If me, I would check with Keystone and find a supportive dealer nearby your Florida location and get it fixed there. Keystone may authorize repairs by a mobile RV repair operation if no dealers nearby although you would likely get stuck with the service fee.

Forget the dealer and any dealer. Call Dometic get the names of mobile techs in your FL location that do warranty for them. You will need to pay the service call charge but easier and cheaper than hauling it somewhere. Probably a better job at that.

I like that idea best. Dealers only do service because they have too. Service only folks are the way to go!

Unfortunetly we had to cancel our Florida vacation due to it being at the dealer all this time.We had a 3month stay and it’s cancel or lose the deposit.
So we bit the bullet on that and now concentrating on this repair with the dealer.
I want to thank all who replied and see if we can get this issue resolved.
