HC 375 FL Actual Height

Keystone lists my High Country HC 375 FL Height as 12' 9". This must have been miscalculated as the front AC unit a Penguin II low profile is the tallest point and my current Warranty Dealer tells me it barely fits in their 14 foot door. It is almost impossible for me to measure due to roof slopes, and unlevel pavements. Has anyone with a HC 375 FL with two AC units measured their height.

My 2013 3750FL was 13' 4" on Ram 3500

Get a long carpenters level and tape a long string to the end. Hold the level on the highest point and let the string hang to the ground. Have someone mark the string then measure from the level to the mark. hope that makes sense

There is just me and I have to find a level parking lot somewhere. I do have an 8 foot carpenters level. I was really hoping to get a dealer to measure it but they do not want any liability. A couple inches can make a big difference if it is struggling to get into a 14 foot door as my dealer told me.

It might be a fourteen foot opening but the actual door might be hanging lower. Just a thought.

The height of 12'9" represents the standard unit without options. The second AC is optional. With this option the 375fl is 13'5" if setting level.

true height should be measured on your vehicle ready to tow. Different vehicles with different tires and suspension and even hitch set up can change the height. With these units we are counting every inch anything under 13'6" I would not even consider 14' would worry me. my barn is 15' and I have no trouble getting in it.
I use to pull a 12' wide 14' high boat and there were places in nc that I got off 95 and back on to go around some of the overpasses.

The Montana brochure states 12'9" and add 4" if 2nd AC is installed.

We have one of those fiberglass telescoping flag poles we tape a stiff 3 ft.wire with a 90 degree bend taped to the end to get a close height of the rig and any low branches at campgrounds.

Dealer doesn't want any 'liability'??? And they sold it to you in the first place?? Got to be a new low in customer service!

I temporarily duct taped a 2 x 4 (a straight one) to the front vent shroud and used a tape measure.

After removing those when adding solar, I just used the highest solar panel.

Absolutely. Measurement not accurate unless hooked as for travel.

Thank you for the input. Keystone should have published the height with the optional at conditioner with of course a caveat that the actual height depends on the tow vehicle hitch height etc. I thought the published height of 12'9 was with the factory equipment 2nd AC installed. The USA clearance requirement for clearance Is 14 feet on major roads and interstates so I guess I really need to use 13'11" in my gps route planning and make sure I am not setup high in the truck until I find a way to measure the actual with my towing setup. Set your GPS like you want, but this retired trucker (20 years and 3.5 million miles) recommends you set at 13'6".

Thanks for the 13.6 recommendation. In all my previous MH's etc I have never had experience with one over 13'. I do now know I really need to find an accurate way to measure my current actual setup height which by a previous post is likely more like 13.5 and my dealer reporting it had to carefully go through their 14 foot door. Better safe than sorry.

14' is the opening. Often, not always, the door is below the opening 2"-6" . Depends on the installers process, weight of the door, and time for things to loosen or stretch.
