Looking to buy used 3921FB - What to look for?

Hi,
Looking at used 2017 for sale and wondering if anyone can offer some ideas on what we should be looking for or what issues or problems may exist. Overall condition is good and I think it was used for two winters in Florida however a non-montana dealer has it and cant answer any questions like that.
Thanks!

First put PDI in the search engine above and you get some links to PDI threads that will give you some places to go. On a used unit you want to add things that could be worn or damaged such as the roof. Also look at the dates on the tires and make sure they look good, are less than 5 years old and are either Goodyear or Sailuns.

Thanks for the info! We’re looking forward to inspecting on Monday.

Hope the 3921FB meets your expectations. We are on our second summer in ours and are really enjoying. Floor plan is perfect for us. The on demand hot water is great but does take a while to get accustom to. Front air condition quit, ended up a wire loosened during travel. Other than that no issues. Good Luck and Enjoy

Instant HW tip

I saw an interesting video about the instant HW heater. It showed that if you slow down the water pressure, the heated water will make it to the shower faster and hotter. Too much pressure and it takes longer. Counter intuitive.

Can you post a link to that video, my understanding is you need flow not slowed down in order for the flow sensor to activate the water heater.

Fine line between to much flow and not enough flow. There has been both singing and screaming coming out of our shower.

Our 2017 3921FB

we Bought our 3921FB in 2017 and live it. We have had some vary minor assembly line problems which I have been able to repair myself. One A/C was replaced in Georgia last year under warranty. Our bathtub decking also had to be repaired. The front corners of the tub top are so narrow at corners, that one corner actually cracked and the corian people had to do a repair on it. We are full timers and this is our 4th Montana. Best on market. Lots of storage in this one.

We love ours!
Here is the short list of issues we have had...it is a short list and they are all small issues.
1. The hydraulic system started "acting up" when it was 11 months old. I installed 80 amp circuit breaker, tightened wire connections to the pump motor and added fork oil (to quiet the popping noises) and hydraulic system issues are no more.
2. Some interior trim pieces bowed up - I fixed them all.
3. Had to re-glue some of the paper veneer on the bedroom door edge...no big deal.
4. I have 2 slow-rise shades (window over the table and the rear window) that need some adjusting. Eventually I will get to it.
5. Can't use the internal coax with my Dish Tailgater and VIP211z black box - so I feed the cable thru a rear window. Someday I will install a new coax and not use the "window" method anymore. Someday. Cable connection works great for both TVs. Antenna works fine for both TVs as long as we can find stations...love that digital TV signal.
6. Driver's side rear section of fender skirt popped out of the black gasket while we were driving thru Arkansas last summer. Pulled over to a walmart parking lot - DW and I popped it back in and I put a bead of silicone on it.
7. Wish we had that small handrail on the steps to the bedroom. I will add it someday.
8. The radio/dvd unit...uhg...we like to listen to a.m. talk radio but the a.m. function is non-existent (someday I will take it out and unwind the little antenna). We listen to my little portable radio.

SheilaMontana,

Congratulations!
You will enjoy your 'new' rig!

MikenDebbie,

Yeah, our Arkansas roads can be rough. (sigh) still better than Shreveport...
Definitely, unwind the antenna. It has a peel-N-stick back. EASY!
