I purchase it from where ever it is cheapest. Sometimes it's cheaper at the auto parts stores and sometimes at Wally World. I've also saved my 2 1/2 gallon jugs and filled them at the local truck stop! I tried filling the DEF tank at a truck stop only once. The nozzle is to awkward and pumps to fast when filling the tank in my 2012 3500! Leaves a real mess! Never again! Just use the boxes or gallon jugs anymore! I also carry a gallon jug or a 2 1/2 gallon box of DEF when I'm on the road for trips towing the Monte. Saves any hassles while on the road too!

Thanks for the tip, Ron. I will use gal jugs then. Hard to believe that truck stops don't accomodate for pickup fills of DEF at their pumps. Getting to be more and more trucks other than high bulk semis that need that at the pump...

Great discussion. I would assume that since more service stations are selling diesel--then most will have DEF available somehow??? Probably in gallon or 2 gallon jugs. Putting DEF in a Ford is simple since the DEF fill is next to the diesel fill. BUT--a high flow rate like a truck stop will have maybe an issue. Also the DUMB gauge that Ford has is a mistake--we need more info. I may look for a secondary market DEF gauge.
