01 Montana Slide

My living room slide is the one hydraulic arm in the center with 1 support arm on each end with cable attachments.

My question is what is the cable for?

And can you get replacement arms for this type of system still?

The cable is there to move the slide evenly so it doesn't skew in and out. In later years they moved away from the cable to a geared balance shaft. I don't have an answer for the availability of the arms.

Thanks! Just incase anyone else was wondering. I contacted Lippert and this is a Dewald system and they no longer make parts for it.
