Towing SRW or DRW ????????

I have been blessed to have towed different trailers and 5th wheels. As for what size TV you need. It will depend on many things, so you will have to look, listen and do a lot of reading. I will say I have never been able to understand the different weights, axles, brake size etc. But I still read forums that posters are saying the 3/4 ton and 1 ton are the same. That is just not correct, I have owned both. We owned 2500HD's, 3500 1 tons and now the 4500. They are all different. The problem is when you own a 2500HD and are towing a Big Sky Montana and it will tow the BSM. It very hard to make a person understand they need a 3500 dually 1 ton. But once they go to a 1 ton dually they very seldom go back to a 2500HD. All I can say is do a lot of searching.... And as for as cost they aren't that much difference. You just have to walk in and get the Big Mac's....GBY.....

It's all in personal choice. 3/4-ton truck may do the job, 1-ton may do it better, 1 1/2-ton even better. To be really safe, go with a MDT.

Luv my 2500HD D/A and other than a 3500 SRW I doubt I'll ever go any bigger.

I think this topic pretty well ran it's course on the last thread before it got terminated. Not sure a new thread with the same old argument will contribute anything new.

I also find it hard to make a person understand they need to tow with nothing less than a steam locomotive, so I don't try. Wouldn't be without one myself.

Folks it looks as if this topic, once again, has started down that "slippery slope". This topic just seems to be one that generates controversy. Time to lock.
