Lost DISH programming dur to inactivity

Our rig has been dormant in our RV garage for a couple of months now. When I hooked up the tailgater and started the receiver, as I expected, my programming is gone. My question to you all is if I let my setup sit for a few hours, will DISH finally recognize that the system is active and authorize my receiver to download my programming? I know I can get online and get them to do it, but the last time I tried to do that it turned into 1 hour cluster #$^& with several escalations to multiple tier support when all I asked them to do was activate my receiver. Maybe that's not the right request but I thought it was pretty simple. Thanks for your input.

Even though we full time when we're traveling all over the country we let our bedroom reciever sit and have to call them when we get set up for a while. I call tech support and when I get a live person ask for an RV specialist. Once I get that person it goes well.

You can send an authorization signal to your receiver using your mydish account yourself.

I don't use mine from fall to mid spring. But I have never had a problem calling Dish to get it restarted. I just say that I have not used the Dish in the RV since last ____ and need a restart. Typically back on in a few minutes.

But try what PNW Fireguy says next time. I have heard that works well also.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I obviously did not know you could do that online. Once I told it to "Wake up receivers", I waited awhile and then power cycled the receiver and my programming is back!
