Lippert Remote Control Board Broke Free

I was looking around in the front bay of my Montana 5th wheel and the Lippert remote control board caught my eye. It was hanging diagonal by one screw! Of course there are many attached wires that would support it, but this still did not seem like a good thing. The screw mounts on 3 o the 4 corners had broken off completely. The screws and some small plastic fragments were still screwed to the bulkhead.

My quick repair was to strap on some cable ties and screw the cable ties to the bulkhead wall, because I sure didn't want to drill any new holes in the control board! I'd like to do a better repair, but this is all I have come up with so far. Anybody got a suggestion?

Seems like a lot of plastic parts on my 8 year old Montana are suddenly disintegrating.

That's a first, never seen that happen. My guess is the screws were over tightened from the get go. No real fix but to replace the unit. However I would not do that if it is still working. I would do something like you stated and just strap it back into place.

Do you use the remote that operates it ?. Most of us have abandoned that remote. More trouble than its worth.

I still use the remote. I leave it in the truck door pocket and use it to raise or lower the hitch as needed when I hook up. It's easier than hopping out of the truck to make height adjustments.
