Weight problems with Siders
Solved part of my problem with the heavy slider hitch. It doesn’t quite reach the center of a 6&3/4 bed and due to that I know it won’t hit the center of my 8’ bed work truck. I’ll need to make a small modification to reach. That won’t be a problem.
Sorry it’s turned. Can’t figure out how to turn it.

Will it tip over with weight extended out?
I used to leave the hitch connected to the pin box then disconnect the hitch from the truck. Then raise the trailer enough for the hitch to clear then drive away.

Make sure your photos are portrait (wider than tall).

It won’t tip over. There’s a piece that slides into the receiver and, the main bar that holds the hydraulic hoist slides into that. There’s also two stabilizer legs coming down on each side. Also your idea to leave attached to the pin box is a good idea but, my camper is stored at a lot and, I don’t feel comfortable leaving it attached like that.

That’s quite the contraption and it certainly looks like it’s up to the task, but my god, it looks as heavy as the hitch itself!

It’s pretty close to the same weight. However it breaks down into 5 separate pieces for storage. The heaviest single piece is about 50 lbs.

I have that exact same hoist in my garage. It works well for transporting the generator or lawn mower to the shop. It can easily lift 500 to 1000 lbs in the bed of the truck.

Didn't an extension come with that? If not go to a steel supply company for some square tubing that'll fit inside. Buy a piece at least 4-5 ft long so that you can extend your reach a couple of feet or more. Drill it for the bolt to go through and cut the slot for the hook

No extension with it. That is my plan. I have some friends I can get the tubing from or, get it from work.
