Custom fifth wheel

A very very large custom fifth wheel is now on one of the sites in santa fe sky's rv park. Think in the 50's long, two mini split condensers on the front for ac, 16 large solar panels on the roof and room for more, stairs leading to door are pretty high in the air. The landing gear is massive, and the owner noted empty weight of 39k and gross at 50k. Tows it with a normal semi tractor. If you blocked out the slides and windows, you could imagine a 53 ft commercial trailer sitting there...massive. How he was able to maneuver into the pull-through I wish I had seen. No question on his driving skills.

With the trend being larger and larger I am not surprised to see this actually. Besides Spacecraft have been making these things for celebrities for a while......Still I bet it is cool to see them in person.

Of course the price is going to keep most folks from owning one.....

Finally got to where I could see the very "in the background" and not tacky lettering for manufacturer. It is a space craft custom fiver. Can only guess the bucks it cost.

We were in site A1 at Santa Fe Skies when the moving cloud came in and parked in A5. The big extended length HD Tractor was unhitched and parked elsewhere in the park. The mini car was unloaded from the tractor and the "owner" drove it around. Never saw more than 1 person in the rig. It sure was big and looked bigger when the rig bshgo shows in his photo pulled in A3-- it was a LUXE RV and was pulled by a F350 Dually. It is only Money! I have a photo of the big rig on my phone--I will see about a download. By the way, Santa Fe Skies usually has the largest variety of RV buses that I have ever seen--Usually over 50% of the park is used by the big guys and parked next to a mini rig.

We see the Spacecraft display each year at the Tampa RV show. Have never seen one in a park yet.

There was only the guy that I saw as well. From ny. What struck me besides the size was the super flat nose with the big ac condensers hanging on it. Owner said he has taken $700 bucks to fill his tanks on one part of the trip and 35 up some of the mountains is normal speed in the 500hp tractor. We normally are in daylily 9, a backin, when we stay here for the views west towards the Jemez mountains.
