Great Tire

We spent the last year on thr road. First 1500 miles blewout three GY Marathons and replaced with Samson GL285T ST235/80R16. We put 5600 miles on these and barly had to add air. These are 14 ply rated 110psi tires.

Our '14 Montana came with GY Marathons. On our first trip out, we encountered another Montana owner who warned us repeatedly about the "China Bombs" or "Marabombs" as he called them. We check air pressure regularly and keep an eye on tread wear and never had a problem with them in nearly 30,000 miles. When we decided to replace them, the local Big O manager discovered two were in process of tread separation and he suggested Sailuns. Now, almost two years later they still look new and only time I have to add air is if there is a big temp drop. TPMS says they never warm up more than about 10-15 degrees above the ambient temp. Recently added a Sailun as the spare and will only need to buy three when these are ready for replacement. We put 8-10,000 miles on a year and expect these to be good for up to five years if tread wear so far is any indication.

We also went with Sailun's, after blowing 3 Maxims that came with the 5'er, they have been on now for 3 years, and still going strong.

You are so right...I had a friend that had a Good Year tire blow out last year and they wrote him a check for 11 k to repair his rig.

I heard that too, but don't think I would want to try them till they have a bit of a track record.

I had the new Goodyear Endurance installed in March on my 357tht. A friend of mine owns a shop and when he was installing them we were both commenting about how much they resemble a LT tire vs a ST tire. Only have around a thousand miles on them but so far so good.

My HC has a GVWR of 15,200 on 7000# axels. It arrived with Rainier LRE tires. Verified the wheels are rated to 110# so that saves a little as Sailun G rated installed before the 1st trip.

G rated tire is the right option provided you have the wheels rated for 110 psi
And if your wheels are rated 80 PSI?????

G rated inflated to 80 pounds or a good LT anything but China Bombs. I had a 2955 I used Goodyear wranglers on it.

F.Y.I. Your 2004 2955 came stock with Tacoma (Cooper Tires) E rated LT tires. Montana used to use LT tires (until the bean counters found a cheaper alternative?). I myself would use any *GOOD* E rated LT tire.

Sailun stated their 637 can be inflated from 80 to 110. Seems like waste though. Paying GY to test tires is not exciting either. It will take about 5 years to know how good or bad Endurance will be. Until my 5ers went over 13,000 loaded I only used Carlisle LR E and had great luck.
