2020 3813MS Slide out flooring edging is fraying

Any suggestions for repairing the stitched cloth edging of the woven vinyl slide-out flooring. It is wearing out in high traffic spots where the theatre seating and kitchen table are located.

That is one of the reasons why we eventually removed ALL the carpet from our main kitchen slide. The half attached to the floor came up a couple years ago. The edges on the part attached to the moving slide frayed horrible. With that and the dogs going potty on that carpet, attempt after attempt to cover the carpet with runners, rubber, and all sorts of stuff, FINALLY resulted in removing the carpet from the slide too. There was no saving that carpet. It was just nasty. My answer to your problem... remove the carpet completely and put down something else.

the flooring is not carpet. it is the same type material used in pontoon boat deck floor. It has a stitched cloth edge strip to bind the material layers together but constant sitting at theatre seating and movement of chairs at the kitchen table are taking their toll on that weak link.

Update... We went with option 2. Stuff was a pain to install but nearly one year in and it has held up well.
