Living room ceiling fan acting funny
I had assumed that the living room ceiling fan and light were wired the same as any ceiling fan in a stick and brick home. However, the one in my 2014 3100 RL 5th wheel acts funny. For example, when the shore power is unplugged with the fan turned on and then re-plugged the fan does not come on unless the off on switch is recycle. Another example, if one attempts to change his speed of the fan (which in a house would be low medium and high) the lifecycles on and off and the speed remains constant. And it’s not because I’m turning the light on and off because the lights pull cord is a different pull cord.
My task once I get a stepladder is a check out the wiring of the light/fan; however, any suggestions in the meantime would be welcome

If there are two pull chains, one will be the speed control. Have you tried pulling both?

Does it have and are you operating it via a remote control?

Two chains. The one in the middle of the light SHOULD turn on/off the light. and it does MOST of the time.
The one on the side SHOULD control the speed.
With the light on, pull the speed control and the light goes off and will not come on until I pull the light control TWICE.

I just tried my fan to see how it works using the pull chains. I found that the fan seems to work sometimes as you described. Upon further investigation I found that you must tug on each chain firmly to get a response from the fan. The chains are constructed in a series of balls. When the chain is pulled those balls drag along the guide holes and you really don't get a feel as to whether the switch is being actuated or not. If the chains were of a cord material, that would provide for a good feel of the switch being activated. Hope this helps.

The living room fan in my 2019 3120 doesn't act funny....it doesn't act (operate) at all.
