Propane Problem
With the selector valve pointing to the right tank, everytime I open the valve very slowly on the right tank (Door Side), I get very little flow, but if I turn it off, disconnect the line and reconnect it and turn it back on, it works fine. What gives? I've tried turning on the left tank before and after the right tank with the same results. Also tried changing the selector with the same results. When I remove the line to the tank, I can hear a slight release of pressure. Any ideas?

probably the check valve in the tank that is supposed to slow down a fast release of gas in case someone opens the valve without anything hooked up. Mine does it on the left side because the regulator is on the right and when the tank has been off for a while it has to fill the pipe over to the regulator so it thinks it has a leak. I know, valves and regulators don't "think", but somebody tells all those gremlins how to mess up my day.lol

I read in here somewhere a while back to drop the tank on the ground to free up the valve. Maybe I'll try that. It never did it before and just started in the last couple of months. I couldn't figure out what was going on.

I called Marshall, the company that makes the change over and the regulators. The tech said to replace the red regulator with a Marshall C6121...the red one is only 19 PSI, which is not enough, the C6121 is 30 PSI.

Had the same conversation with Marshall as Tom above last winter. Got the proper regulator and all is still well.

You guys are good. I have smelled gas in the tank compartment on occasion, but check everything and found nothing. Thought it was just left over from when I had to disconnect the line. Left the tank on over night and sure enough, I got a slight whiff of gas when I opened the door. I'll be replacing the red regulator! Thanks again!

Ok, did a search on the Web for the Marshall C6121 regulator and came up empty. Plenty of Marshall Regulators but none with this number. Does it go by another number? Any ideas who sells this? richffa, where did you get yours?
