We are headed out on Sunday if we can get the Monty out of the snow. We are about 5 hours north of Port Huron, Michigan and plan a stopover near Fort Wayne, Indiana the first night. Then on to Springfield, Missouri, Amarillo, Texas and a stopover near Flagstaff to do some sightseeing before arriving at the rally. We will not have access to internet on the road but will watch at WiFi hot spots for directions to the 'Circle'
Any suggestions as to the type of clothes to take with us. We have heard everything from very hot during the day, to freezing at night and everything in between. I figure it is a good reason to bring most of what I own to be on the safe side.
Looking forward to seeing all the MOC friends around the 15th.

ratherbee,
You might want to pay VERY close attention to the weather around Flagstaff, maybe consider a different route. They have had snow and it can be quite snarly up there during snow with a rig. Personally, I would think at least twice, and then I still probably might find another route.
Clothes, layers, probably won't need the bikini, but will need warm stuff for evenings, even with the huge campfires, it is cold in the desert as soon as the sun goes down.
Seriously, they have been having snow in Texas and Arizona in places that normally do not get snow, except for every 10 to 25 years. Be careful out there, see ya in the "Q".

Ratherbee,
Pay close attention to the weather around Flagstaff, They got 20 inches of snow in December and January is the snowiest (SP?) month. Once you get to Oklahoma City you might consider dropping on down on I-35 to Dallas and take I-20 to I-10 to Quartzsite. The weather will be a lot more acceptable.

It looks like you two travel about the same route that we do. We are currently in Castroville, TX (west of San Antonio on I90). We are heading out on the 10th and plan to stay overnight in Balmorhea the first night. Then Deming the second night. The last night before the Q we spend near Maricopa, AZ. See you at the Q. Safe travels.

Arrived in Brenda, AZ today for a couple of nights before we go to Q. Need to get laundry done before we start "roughing" it. Saw a Montana caravan roll into town this afternoon and found out it was Rondo and Mary, and KSBoy and KSGirl.

That caravan also had CountryGuy, Mrs. CountryGuy (the leaders of the U turn pack) and OntMont!
Not planned, just happened, we passed under Rondo and KSBoy and KS Girl at an underpass/overpass.

Sounds like a well choreographed dance Carol! I can just envision two over and two under and crossing paths! Can't wait to meet all of you! Safe travels everyone!
