Hot water heater

Hello all.
Got to our site and surge protector through error code. Park came and voltage was correct. Hooked up without surge protector.
Everything was working fine . Did not have that good feeling without it. Plugged Protector back in and all was good. The only thing I did not turn off before turning off power and turning back on was the hot water heater. Everything works fine again ( Ac, microwave, )but water heater. Light comes on on the main panel but no hot water. Is there a reset button any where?
Thanks . Dennis

Are you running it on AC or propane? There should be a reset button under the water heater panel on the exterior.

Are you SURE you had water in the tank before turning it on and what did the code mean?

I know this may seem obvious, but, did you check the 120 volt circuit breaker in the panel for the water heater? Fully turn it off and then back on again.

Updated
Got hot water. Manually popped the relief valve then about 30 minutes later had hot water.
Kinda like there was a condensation pocket in the tank. Oh well.
Thanks again .
