Weather app

Is there a good real time weather app that keeps up with your current location and has severe/inclement updates? I currently use the NOAA weather app but wondering if there is something better.

I use Weather Bug. It gives the weather for place you put in and the weather at your present location. It has an alert for us tonight. It’s free so if you don’t like it dumb it.

We have several that we use, but Storm Shield works the best for us.

We lived in OKC area 12 years, due to the spring storms I down loaded the New 9 Weather app. You can set the app to alert you to weather wherever you travel. I allow the app to track me. I am in West Texas and SE New Mexico frequently. Once I get an alert I open the app and look at the radar, I can click it and the storm will move across the screen and let you know what direction it is moving. I always know the direction of the storm based on my position.

There are other apps but we've been using the Weather Underground app for a few years now

Weather Underground, Accuweather, Weather Channel, even our local NBC station weather app you can put in and save any city you want to keep track of the weather and just click on that city or any other saved city to toggle back and forth to see current and forecasted weather at any of them. I have my home area, Fredericksburg, TX (where I hunt), and Lubbock (where my two granddaughters are in college) saved in each one and quickly look at the weather for any of them any time. And if we have a trip coming up I will add that city or cities in temporarily.

"My Radar" is another Android weather app I use. Its handy to see radar as well as forecasts.

I think most of the weather apps have current weather, forecasted weather, and radar all within each app. At least all I mentioned above do.

Only problem is that they frequently disagree on the forecast. Haven’t determined if any one is more accurate than the others. All give a generally accurate forecast most of the time and miss just enough to keep you guessing.
