No water in kitchen

Ok. Heres one for you experts. We camp at a county park on Lake Huron without water hookup. We use the pump. Twice this past weekend when we turn on the kitchen sink, no water. Go to the bath and it's ok as well as the toilet. As soon as you turn on another faucet the kitchen begins to work! Gremlins? 2008 3400rl

is your sink set up for a hand sprayer? if so, the diverter valve will stop the water from coming thru the faucet. also, some units had the diverter valve on the faucet set but did not have the sprayer. So,short story, check your faucet for a diverter,it will be inside the set.

Yes it has a hand sprayer. I don't think thats it but I'll look into it. I believe that I cycled the diverter with no luck when it happened. It really is strange!

since all of the water lines are inter-connected, thats about the only thing that could stop the water from coming out of just the kitchen sink.

We had the same problem. The problem was the diverter in the kitchen sink faucet; the diverter thing would slip into the wrong place (pressure from the water when it was turned on?) and stop the flow. Why turning the water on and off in the bathroom fixed the problem is anyone's guess, but that did work for us until we got the faucet fixed. Several MOC members have had that problem, too, so you might use the SEARCH feature to find those posts and see what fixed the problem.

Thanks you all for the advice. I'll take a look at the diverter today!

I had the same problem once. I unhooked the rig from the water source and then turned on a faucet in the bathroom to relieve the preasure in the rig. Hooked the rig back up to the water source and the kitchen faucet worked again. Go figure

epask,
We were visiting a fellow MOCer a couple of weeks ago. They had exactly the same problem. Here is what we found. Under the sink where the flexible hose connects to the line coming from the faucet is a connection. Break that connection. In the end of the flexible hose you will find a tiny check valve. You can pop the check valve out using a pocket knife. Removing it solved the problem but the water pressure was increased because the check valve also acted as a reducer. We were miles from a supplier and I never found out if he found a replacement. Good Luck.

John:

Thanks for the tip. I'll take it out today and see if that solves it.

Sometimes when I turn the faucet on real fast there is no water... We just turn the water on slow and we have no problem.. It will make a sound when you turn it on too fast.. I will see if it has a check valve in the flex line.. that may be our problem also..

Does it do this at all faucets? And on both hot and cold?
