5 New Sailun tires

Have 5 Sailun S637 (235-85-R16) tires for sale , date code 1622 and made in Vietnam. Mounted 2 of these and put on and did not like how close it was to the floor. Never been on road, other never been mounted. Located in Central Ohio $950.00.

believe they are only 1/2" closer than the 80 series - does it make that much concern?

I was under the impression we should avoid the Viet Nam made tires. Any thoughts as I will be in the market soon.

There was a brief period where the Viet Nam manufactured tires had problems. Sailun identified the issue, corrected it and recalled all the affected tires. Tire made since are fine.

Were the previous tires R80s? R85s as I understand it, are about an inch more in diameter. I can’t find R80 Sailuns now to replace mine.

Yes prior tires WAS R80s. Keep searching and you will find them, as my brother in Mississippi found them online in the R80 size. Also Vietnam made tires have had the quality issue fixed for the Sailun brand too.
