Montant Big Sky Wheels
We own a 35 ft. 2004 Big Sky with 5 spoke aluminum mag wheels and we just want to let owners of these units know that our wheels failed with less than 5,000 towed miles on it. Two of the wheels cracked on our recent trip leaving us stranded. We offered a Keystone Dealer in Des Moines to buy a new ste of wheels or trade our unit but he have us no customer service so we ended up buyin an additional spare from a very nice workkamper so we could arrive home safely. Please check your wheels on these units, this is a very dangerous situation.

Reedo,
Welcome to the forum, you might want to do a search on your troubles, seems we have had this show up before, use the search button and open up the time frame to at least 6 months.
Others that have had similiar situations will happen along and give you some suggestions, I am sure.

Reedo: Many of us have had problems with the rims. Do a search as Carol mentioned. Keystone will come good with new rims.

Reedo,
Tredit Tire & Wheel Company is the one who made your wheels. Tredit is known for standing behind their products, the have a lifetime warranty on their wheels. You might want to give them a call and see if they can help.

I had the same thing happen, we had 3 out of 4 of the aluminum wheels crack inside and leave us hanging. I replace all 4 of them on the road with steel wheels.
I also had axle alignment problems right from the beginning, but I did not know it until I had 10,000 miles on the rig and then observed excessive tire ware on all 4 tires.
I had to take the Big Sky to an axle alignment place to get corrected and put 4 new tires on the rig.
Montana did give me some money toward the tires, but not the cost of axle alignment.
We now park the the rig and rarely tow it. This really saves on the wear and tear! Fuel too.
Love the rig, but sure wish Keystone Montana would check their axles when they build them? I think I got a bad batch of aluminum wheels too.

By all means check with the company who made the wheels. Our cousin had 3 out of 4 steel wheels fail on his Montana. He replaced them all, contacted the company, and was reimbursed.
