Black Waste Seeping

I have a 2020 3930. It has 2 black and grey tanks and one fresh.
Every time I'm done with camping I goto dump station and when I open the cap it seems to have back pressure, about 1/4 of Black waste comes out. The tech told me to hold my valves closed longer as they are the cable system and need a few more seconds to make sure they are closed. I dont believe this is the isssue since I have a build up of pressure when cap is opened.
Last time cap was removed was at same place of storage.
Ideas? I'm going to record this next time but thought I'd ask here as well. Thanks

The cable style valves are not very efficient. It won't be long and they will stick or break all together. Replace with a solid rod style valve and or purchase the shut off valve that mounts to the end of your sewer pipe as a last line of defense.

1/4 of what? A cup, a bucket, a tank? If it is a cup, that is normal stuff left in the lines when you dump. Get a Valterra twist on gate valve for the end of your sewer pipe and stop the surprises when you remove the cap.

If it is a bucket or more, change the valve.

Here is a pic of my Valtera valve on the end of the outlet.
The valve on one of my black tanks will not close 100% and I think there is some debris keeping it from completely closing. Replacing that valve is on my list of to-do's

item 18. - replace black tank valve for front tank

All of our campers, over the years, have had a surprise for me when I took the cap off. When I would dump there would still be areas in the drain system that held water etc. Once I drove down the road that material would head for the drain opening. About 16 years ago we started adding a knife valve at the end of the drain and I haven't had a surprise since.
