Slide Cables

My wife and I travel the US for 30+ years and have loved nearly every mile.

We purchased our 1st Montana 3 years ago (2016 3721RE Legacy) Why we waited to go Montana is beyond me. Anyway on to the problem; the bedroom/wardrobe slide cable system appears to be out of adjustment. Symptom first appeared last trek out when the bedroom door would not close properly. Bottom third of door would not fit into the frame.
Trouble shooting found cables on the rear of slide has several inches of downward play where the front may have about one inch. I spoke with Keystone Helpdesk, they did forward to me the BAL Accuslide cable adjustment manual. But their strongest recommendation was to visit an authorized repair center. I will save that until the last resort. Closest is about 2 hours away. I am mechanically inclined and would like to use my own skills first.

If there is anyone with experience adjusting cable assemblies, please post your response to the string. Any and all replies are appreciated.

Hi Jeff and Cathy. I have replaced my fair share of cables. It’s a give and take system. There are a few good YouTube videos on the process and the manual is ok. If I can be of any help with specific questions let me know
