Fulltime due to Virus
My wife works for Amazon as a Ex Asst and she is remote until Jan 1st and then maybe more (crazy) so we're staying in our Monty in Quincy, Wa for months in the heat. She has a tendency to put more down the kitchen sink then i think is safe to avoid clogging. Is there anything i can pour down the drain to give it a good cleaning. Not sure if a small amount of drano is safe for these thin hoses

Many of us use a product like Happy Camper to do that sort of job.

Put a strainer in the drain. If that doesn't work then tell her to fix it when it clogs.

Jaybird , Try baking soda, couple tablespoons with about a half cup of vinegar, pour it in. However regular drain cleaners possibly would be ok, since the lines in the Montana aren't really that much different than in some SB homes i.e. Pex, ABS, PVC.
By the way are you in a regular RV park in Quincy or the TT park there?

I have the flush king and use it to "rinse" my black tank. It is AWESOME! My only fear has been overfilling so I set a timer on my phone for 3 minutes and that seems to be perfect!

Rather than trying to fix it after the fact, I would work with the strainer suggestion and stop the issue before it happens. Sure is easier to dump a strainer in the trash than remove a gray tank because of buildup. Just my $.02.

Rather than a timer, I purchased a flow meter that I hook up to the hose and just fill with around 20 - 25 gallons of water.

If you follow our rule, you will have no issues. If it does not come out of your body, it does not belong in any tank...…. Yes, including toilet paper. That goes in a small can next to the toilet and emptied daily.

I'm well aware of what you're talkin of. There's no reason to have a clogged drain to anything in any camper or house for that matter. Something is being put down that drain to cause that to clog.
For example my ex-wife used to jam anything and everything down the sink drain in the kitchen because she didn't care where it went. I tried to explain that we were on septic and it wasn't a good idea but it happened anyway and filled the tank up with solids way before it should have

Well dude, I'm not hunkered down with you. This wasn't an angry answer. It was advice on how to prevent a problem caused by improper use of an RV plumbing system. It's like stabbing your tires with an ice pick then being more concerned about how to patch a tire.

I have had Montanas for 15 years now. For the black tank, I use the backflush for a minute before dumping. Then dump, backflush for 4-5 minutes with valve closed and dump again. Repeat this another time or 2 until water coming out is pretty clear.
For the galley tank, we probably waste a lot of water rinsing our dishes, so the tank always has a good flow exiting. We also wipe all dishes and pots/pans off with a paper towel before washing to keep food build up to minimum.
I have never had either tank plug up. Strangely our galley tank is the one that usually gets full first!!!

WE have septic at our SB home so we are conditioned to being careful about what goes down the drains. Both at home and in the Monty we wipe all oily residue off plates and cookware with a paper towel before washing. We also use a strainer in the drain, just in case. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

 We do the same thing. The ONLY drawback is the amount of paper towels that we go through. A small drawback though.
