Front Dometic low profile a/c leak

We store our Montana 3455SA beside our house over the winter season. This year when we opened the RV up for Spring airing, we noticed the bed was wet. We have a front a/c but have not noticed this issue before. Being alerted to the problem, we placed plastic on the bed and see that whenever it rains and the wind blows really hard, we get water on the bed. We've had this unit installed for two years and have not noticed the issue before. Anyone out there have this issue and can give any advise to what is causing it? We are almost ready (house is for sale)to begin full timing and the prospect of pulling into a campground after driving all day to find a wet bed isn't really too appealing.
Thanks for the help, Patty

Check your TV antenna where the cable comes through the roof. The caulk could be bad there. Common source for water on the bed!

The A/C torque bolts probably need to be snugged up some. They should be snug but do not attempt to tighten them down too much. The gasket is not designed to be flattened out by over tightening.

Thanks for the suggestions! We'll take a look and hopefully one of these things will be the reason for the leak.

Ron & Patty,
We don't have a front A/C unit, but we have had the leak up front before. Up on the roof where the antenna coax comes through the roof there is what looks like a spark plug boot that should be snuggly seated where the coax goes through the roof.

I put some good RV sealant (such as BOSS 378 100% ACETOXY CURE SILICONE) in the boot, made sure the was seated all the way down, sealed it with a good RV sealant (same as above) and then placed a zip-tie tightly around the coax just above the top of the boot to keep it from working its way up again. This took care of our problem.

Hope this helps,

Jack
