We stay at NAS Corpus Christi right in the Bay.

You can't beat the price! The laundry is FREE and there is lots to do and see.

You do not need to be military to stay there - just purchase a MWR Guest Card.

The only thing to watch out for in that area is the sea air. Your will get a lot of rust if you do not rinse your rig down regularly. We have also stayed at Southern Oaks in Aransas and LOVE it over there.

A wheeler- question: you mentioned that You do not have to be military to stay at NAS there in Corpus. It was my understanding that to stay on any military station that you had to be to camp on any military base. You also mentioned that you could purchase a MWR guest card. What is that and how can one do that ? My nephew graduated from the Air Force Academy last year and we camped on the grounds and it was great. Thanks.

Just a follow up on our Corpus Christi stay. Colonia Del Ray was very accommodating and a good value, the campers were awesome and the staff was friendly. i would definitely stay there again and recommend it for short or extended stays. We were extremely impressed with the city of CC as it was very easy to get around and a great variety of everything including shopping, restaurants and attractions. The state of Texas was extremely impressive and the people were Great!
