Anybody ever stay here? Opinions? Everything looks good...something must be wrong?

I'm not familiar with Desert Trails but nearby is Justins Diamond J. Several members have stayed there and liked it

I think Justins is right next door. Only problem I see with them is they don't have any entertainment...gotta be entertained, ya know

We have been looking at this site for a couple of weeks stay just before Quartz Site. When are you looking at to stay there? Site looks good from their web site, they tout being way out away from the noise of the city.

We're looking at the month of January. We've never stayed in one place that long but thought it would be a "kick" to try and get our Southern-Midwest bones a little warmer that time of year. It is a bit "out there" but it's supposed to be right next to some great hiking and biking trails, or so they say. In addition, there are a bunch of activities. Not that we need to be entertained constantly but a few things to do here and there would be nice. I went ahead and made the reservation and the cancellation fee is refundable with a 3 day notice. I thought that was more than reasonable.

You won't regret it. We stayed there when we were in the travel mode a number of years ago. We played tourist so can't comment on what went on in the park except the desert hike was nice. I can't give directions, but if you are Lutheran there is a Lutheran Church nearby that has the most awsome view behind the altar. Can't remmber much of the sermon as I looked out the huge windows at the hill behind the church.

If you don't mind the boonies and looking for a warm spot for a month you might look at www.foyspa.com it's where we spend 6-7 months every year. Large sites, lots of hiking near park and also great hiking club. Only 2 1/2 hours from Quartzsite via I10 thru painted canyon and into Coachella valley area. Not sure if you are talking bicycles or quading but both in the area. About 1 hour to Palm Springs,2 Hours to Yuma and Mexico. Lots of activities, 2 great pools 5 hot tubs, disc golf, desert sand golf course, tennis, horseshoes, shuffleboard, exercise room and water exercise classes. And price per month includes tax, and all utilities. We had no intent of loving a park so much but feel in love with the people and friendliness. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for the info "dandt". Sounds great...I'll check it out. Yup, bicycles cuz I almost killed myself on a motorized one once .
"sgtpp214", as it turns out we are Lutheran. What are the odds huh? Thanks for the tip.
