Skylight Cover

We love natural light that comes through the skylight in the shower except when it is 106 degrees outside and we are trying to keep the trailer cool. So I finally took the time to make a cover.

I bought a $3.97 car window shade, cut it out to fit our skylight frame (outside edge), and I then used my serger and stitched a 4 thread over lock stitch on it. Then I used some Velcro stuff that is designed for high and low temperature situations. I bought it at Wally World too. I put the shiney side up. WOW! It droopped the temp about 20degrees. It is simple to take down when we want the natural light but when the trailer is stored it will limit the UV.
