Casa Grande, Arizona
Had a great week in Tombstone, nice to be able to just walk out of Monty and step into 1881!!! Now in Casa Grande at the Fiesta Grande. In site 513 until Sunday -- have spotted a couple of Monty's a few rows from us -- will check them out later. Weather is warm and sunny -- having a great time.

Les and Julie, We've been reading your travels for the last couple months. Envy is the only word to describe it! 1881 sounds nice. Our Monty comes out of storage tomorrow or Friday. Can't wait. Enjoy your trip.

Hi Gord 'n Carol -- glad to "meet" you -- we certainly are having a wonderful trip --- can't believe all the places we have been. Getting quite a history lesson on the U.S. -- such a beautiful country and we are so happy that we have this opportunity to explore. Heading up to British Columbia now -- have two grandsons waiting to go camping with their Grandpa and Nana. Expect to be up there around April 15th.
Wishing you happy travels in your Monty -- hope to meet up with you on the road.
Julie

You may be right about the cactus juice -- !!!! Having such fun exploring this great country. But can't always get on line so when I am forced to be off line and out of touch for a while I just get so excited that the ole memory just goes off on its' own little journey !!!!!!!
Sounds like you will be heading home soon -- hope the weather will be warm when you get there. We hope to be in BC by April 15th or a bit sooner and according to the grandsons spring has definitely arrived up there. Still not sure where we will end up next winter --so many places to explore -- but we do really like the New Mexico/Arizona area. Still have lots more exploring to do. Guess you guys will be in the Rio Grande Valley from the sounds of it -- we did enjoy it there too. Oh my -- so many decisions -- such "pressure" (LOL)
Have a safe journey. Julie

Les & Julie
Hope you will stop in the Valley for a visit next winter, as it looks right now, we have planned on being here from January 1st to April 1st, 2006, keeping in mind that if Al's mom is ill, we may have to cancel. We will be in another park, however.
Enjoy those grandsons! Our twin granddaughters have discovered where Texas is on their maps and want to know when we will be home so they can come "sleep" at the stick built!
Hope to see you soon, somewhere down the road.
Carol

Julie - Thanks, we're doing well. When are you planning to arrive in B.C.? We're going to be on the Oregon coast for a few days, but not until June.
Carol - Small world... I'm married to Carol, have twin grandkids (3 yr old boys), have a Texas connection (graduated from Texas A&M) and am from Michigan (Port Huron originally, lived in the Soo when we were married). We're at Straits SP for Labor Day and the Bridge Walk if you and Al want to get some exercise with us.
Hope our paths do cross!

Gord - we expect to be in Chilliwack, B.C. early April -- sorry we won't be able to meet up with you and Carol on the Oregon Coast this time. Let us know if you make it up to B.C.-- we will be there until late July.

Les and Julie, we are heading to Tombstone in June. Would you tell us which RV park you stayed in and how did you like it? Was it a place you would stay in again? Thanks for your input.

Julie - You never can tell. I may have to make a quick trip to Seattle in May. If Carol comes along and we get that close, we may just take a drive north. It can't be as bad as the Florida traffic.

DHenry/Doug and Sharon: We stayed in Tombstone RV Park when we were there a few years ago. Not a bad place..not many trees, but ok.

Doug & Sharon -- sorry we have been off line for a few days & just now picked up our messages. We stayed at the Stampede RV Park right on the bottom of the Main Street (Allen Street?). Small, about 50 sites, gravel, some with pads -- very clean laundry. Went to library up the road for the Internet -- quiet, pleasant place -- you can walk to the main part of Tombstone town in less than five minutes -- stepped out of Monty into 1881!!!! We really enjoyed the town -- stayed a week and had a lot of fun. Be sure to have lunch at Big Nose Kates Saloon -- neat place. Very friendly town and it was quite pleasant to be able to leave truck and Monty sitting while we "played" cowboy. Stagecoaches passed by our door every morning and evening on their way into and out of town -- Boot Hill Cemetary just up the road.
Also check out Bisbee and Sierra Vista -- nearby towns.
Have fun -- we sure did.
Les & Julie
