Not a clue
Hi yall,
We just purchased a 2004 Big Sky, and can not find info if she will use 120 or 240 plug in. She is being delivered next week and Im thinking this may be important to know. Any help would be great.

Dawn,
It will be 120 volts but could be 30 or 50 amp.

First welcome to the Forum!
Becareful because a 50 amp RV plug will go into some 240v dryer type outlets, but it will burn everything up in your rig. A 50 amp rv plug must be wired by an electrician who knows the difference.

I spoke with dealer and he showed me an adapter that they will install. Has a regular plug at one end, hooked to a four pronged yellow plug, which is plugged into another yellow adapter thing. Seems like a lot of extra plugged in stuff.

It sounds like he is showing you how to plug into a regular wall outlet at home. A 20 amp standard wall outlet will let you run many things in the rig, but not at once and it will also probably not let you run even one AC unit without tripping the breaker in your house.

Are you plugging it in at home or at a CG? There's a big different's if you are at home you probable only have 20 amp outlet if you are at a CG or park of some kind it could be a 30A or a 50A pedestal do not plug into a 240V plugin like a dryer or you will be replacing everything electrical in you new 5er before you get to even use it.
