Is the height of the TV suspension adjustable?

It would be nice for stop-and-go camping if the Monty would run perfectly level. We have an 07/08 GMC 3500 with 16" tires. Without the Monty, the back of the truck sits much higher than the front. With the Monty attached, the back is depressed somewhat, but still sits a bit high. Meanwhile, the Monty rides a bit high at the front. If we adjust the hitch pin height to lower the Monty, then the clearance from the bed rim will be insufficient. So, I'd like to lower the TV's suspension a bit, maybe an inch, which would level the TV and the Monty simultaneously.

Also, if we change out the 16" tires for 17", then we'll have to lower the suspension front and rear another inch.

Any ideas?

It doesn't matter which size rims you have. Lots of 16 inch and 17 inch rims will wind up with the same final diameter when the tires are installed. What is importand is to get the size (diameter) tires you want. As for lowering the truck that is not a big deal. Any good speed shop can help you with that.

Another way to get level would be to install air bags. They are adjustable so you'd be able to level to your heart's content. If you're talking about just an inch or so I wouldn't worry about it. Just from looking at the picture of your TV and rig it actually looks a bit low in the front. Perhaps it is just me or maybe the angle.

Looking at the picture of yourn rig, it looks level. If you want it lower in the rear a truck spring shop could help you.

The picture is misleading. For example, it makes the bikes look enormous and the Sierra look small. Thanks for the catch on the size. They are 16" rims, not tires. For clarity, I'd like to reduce the distance from the rear axle to the frame of the TV.

We're lucky in that we are level going down the road with a DRW '07 classic GMC 3500. Having said this, 1" over 25 feet or so doesn't seem like a big deal, although there are others on the forum who would be able to definitively give the right answer.

Well if you want to raise the rear of you TV when towing, air bags are great. It sounds like you want to lower the rear. I went to the chevy dealer and got a pair of 2" lowering shackles, I think it cost about $30 or $40. This made my truck ride level without the Monty. After hooking up Monty, I air up my air bags to level out the truck and trailer.
They are easy to install, 2 bolts on both sides.

I have firestone air bags. Bought my first set at the auto parts house, the set on my current truck came from a flea market, new in box. Save lots on that purchase.
It is an easy project, if you are mechanicaly inclined. about 3-4 hours, taking time for the occasional beer.
