The last campground I was at had rust laden water. Rather than bring 10 gallons of the stuff home, I removed the anode rod and drained the hot water heater. I was amazed at the "stuff" that came out of the tank with the water. It had been about 5 months since I'd had drained it.
My question is have any of you found an affective way to get all the sediment out of your hot water heater? Since the drain plug is not on the bottom of the tank, just removing the plug won't flush all of it out.
