Try Point Mallard Campground. It is city operated. They have a wave pool and golf coarse there.

We have used Point Mallard Campground and it is overall a good facility, lots of stuff for kids, not very far from I-65, call ahead especially on weekends.

Check out Birmingham South, easy on off I65. I stay there when going to Destin Fl. Nice campground, Good Sam discount.

Too bad you are not going through Florence which is a few miles west of Decatur. The city has a very nice/clean campground right on the Tennessee river.

Dandy KOA in Clanton Alabama. On the lake and great facilities. 53 minutes South of Birmingham.
