Idaho---The Gem State. The old plates used to say Famous Potatoes. Since we can only buy Washington and Oregon potatoes in Idaho it was changed. Also the northern part of the state felt left out.

The top says Pennsylvania, the bottom says Truck.
Clever, eh?

Colorado has close to 50 different plates now, each says something different, but all have the mountains. Different colors. My Suv just says Colorado, but I have the pretty green plates with lots of green scenery and of course the mountains, the truck says honorably discharged veteran, and Colorado.

Pennsylvania - www.state.pa.us Different isn't it!! Used to be - Keystone State; You have a Friend in PA. After yesterday, I think they should say " Caution - watch for flying rocks". I just got back from ordering a new windshield for the "06" Chevy due to a flying rock on the PA Turnpike yesterday. Another $100 down the drain.

OKLAHOMA - Native America
and
OKLAHOMA, OK!

However, currently Oklahoma offers 182 different specialty plates, not counting the individual plates issued by each of the American Indian Tribes within the state. Each specialty plate has its own specific phrase on it. So much for unity!

On second thought, each phase is better than OKLAHOMA, OK!

Nebraska--nothing else except in small print is says. www.nebraska.gov. We used to be The Beef State but I guess someone didn't like that so no we are nothing. We have a picture of chimney rock and a covered wagon and the outline of the state on our plates.
