Ca hwy 299 ???

Want to know how Hwy 299 is from Redding to Eureka. Will have the Monty with us. I don't mine windy roads.
And I can cut over at Hwy 20 and go up 101 if 299 is not advisable.

A little windy and few steep grades, but nothing that will scare you. I towed the 2955 there and wouldn't hesitate to tow the 3700 too.

You should be fine on 299, we took it last summer, we were pulling a 30' travel trailer and my friends were pulling a 34' Cougar 5th wheel. Our mistake was going south on the 3 at the split instead of north on the 3/299. It was one of the twistiest roads we've ever been on. It took four hours to go 100 miles, and as the old joke goes, boy were my arms tired! But it was a gorgeous road, especially when in went through the redwoods.

We went from 100° in Redding to 60° in Fortuna - love that coast!

We've towed it twice (3400) from the opposite direction, west to east. No problem. It's a nice and a pretty drive. Enjoy.

You should have no problem with the road. I did it on a Harley Dresser 2 up. Just remember to take it slow and enjoy the scenery. Take some breaks when you can to give your arms and hands a rest. Enjoy!
