Michael, you have agreement from a couple of us about this Southwestern Colorado loop. I note, though, that you are thinking of a trip in February. Even May might be a bit early for the loop we have suggested--June would be better. I am working on some of the other areas I mentioned.

And Jay and Betty, we obviously love some of the same places. I would not recommend that anyone tow over 550. I avoided it for years. But I honestly did not experience any anxiety when I finally did it--and that was in my 84th year! Now maybe . . . Slumgullion Pass ? ?

My brother had a kidney transplant and I know others that have had a heart and liver transplant. All have lived a near normal life afterwards. I say near normal it would be normal but you have a handful of pills to take everyday. It is very nice of you to say you would wont a young person to get the transplant before you but it's not your choice. If you are the best match you get the transplant. I know a young man in his 20s who got a kidney in less than a month. He was a perfect match 7 out of 7, I think. You can get a transplant with a 3 out of 7 match.
Best of luck we are rooting for you.

I recommend: All 5 "Utah Rocks" National Parks and do drive Hwy. 12 (I did not tow), Yellowstone and stay at Grizzly RV Park in West Yellowstone and do day trips into park, we stayed 10 days, At Glacier NP stay in West Glacier RV Park drive truck over Going To The Sun Road do lunch and drive back, or you could add on Many Glaciers, or go up to Waterton Lakes NP in Canada.
