Improve the outside steps
Our Wildcat outside steps were so much more stable and wider than the Montana's. The steps also had a light underneath them which was nice at night when coming into the trailer.
If Forest River can give this on a Wildcat....I think a Montanna deserves the same

I feel the same way in regard to the steps. There are a few things that I would like to see an improvement on and that is one of them. As you probably know, the steps will hang on curbs and other stuff if one isn't watching carefully. It took several trips for us to make sure that we didn't accidentally go off a curb and hang the steps. They sort of got bent out of shape a time or two. I would like to see Keystone design steps that would fit up higher into the body of the trailer. Maybe they will sooner or later.

You wouldn't believe how much better the Wildcat steps are (but I did know that before we bought so I can't really complain lol)....
I wanted to 'switch' them but hubby said we couldn't do that

I feel the same way about the steps. Our Coachman and Fleetwood both had better steps than we have on our 327RKS. When we bought our rig we knew the steps were not really up to speed with everything else in the rig. BUT, the rig fit, the price was right and the wife said steps were not keeping us from buying what SHE wanted. It would be nice if there was a light in the stair wells too.
Maybe that's an mod in the making.

During our recent trek through many models at the Birmingham, Alabama RV show, we noticed that there is a BIG difference among steps in various brands of trailors and motorhomes. Some were down right dangerous and jarring because one expects a step to be a certain height. Our Montana steps are a lot better than some models but I'm sure they could be improved.

I can not comment on the step but I did put a light under the trailer where the steps are so we can see better. Saw that on a Cedar Creek and did it to our Sandpiper and the Big sky.
Good luck and safe towing.

I'd have happily paid if it had been an option
Of course it was a 'standard feature' on the lowly (lol) Wildcat..
Come on Montana you gonna let Forrest River out do you on one of the first things you 'notice' when walking into a 5er...tsk tsk...
