Heading South
We start our trip south today. We cross the border this morning and stay the night in Ferndale Washington. We will buy do our shopping for groceries and on Friday we start south. We will be going through WA, OR, ID, and NV and be in Bullhead City by the 19th for 3 days then over to Desert Hot Springs for a month then different places after that.

I can't believe you are going around CA!! I-5 has been repaved all the way from the OR border to Bakersfield (except maybe the area around Stockton which wasn't finished last time I was there). See you in Q if not before!!!!

Have you noticed the price of diesel in CA? I'd try and go around any chance I got and I live here. Let's not forget that the roads in CA needed to be redone because of all the traffic. Hookman's just going a more layback route around CA.
Stay safe Hookman. "Flying" south for the winter has got to be a great adventure. May your travels be slow and somewhat boring and not heightened from problems.

We did that route for the first time this year and loved everything about it. We thought that the roads were all far superior to I-5, the scenery was great with lots of easy on/off fuel stops. We woke up to a heavy snowfall in SLC and just avoided the first of the year snowfall on the Snoqualmie pass. Driving was a breeze and now we're in a great park in Bullhead City enjoying great weather. Life is good!

We are in Ridgeview RV Resort in Bullhead City leaving for desert Hot Springs on the 22nd. Great to have a couple of days of rest.
