Crack

We have had a crack near our bedroom slide out - we noticed it shortly after we bought the rig....i understand that Keystone would fix it under warranty but we are in an area where Montana's are not sold. I would like more information on the cracks

Hi John,
Sorry your rig has developed the dreaded crack. There are extensive discussion threads regarding this issue here on the board. Just do a search for "crack" and you should get a whole bunch of items to read.

The crack at the front lower corner of the bedroom slide is a stress crack in the fiberglass. On 2001 units it is quite common. I had it and keystone covered the repair, but a friend has one (purchased second owner), and Keystone only covered about 1/3 the cost. They put a flex joint in the way the 2002 and newer units are built. The repair takes about a week.
