Route to Tetons/Yellowstone Advisory

We our on our way to workamper job and got an e-mail from boss that route from Alpine to Hoback Junction into Jackson is closed due to mudslides and because of rain etc they don't know when it will open. Anyone heading from Washington/Idaho area going to Jackson be advised to check Wyoming DOT for road conditions. If this route is closed DONOT take teton pass over hwy22 you might not live to talk about it . Take route from Evanston Wy 189 thru Kemmerer/BigPiney/Bonderant into Hoback Juction and onto Jackson. Safe travels everyone.

Dave, good information. The south entrance in Yellowstone is now open which can give access from the north, though I think the east entrance from Cody may be still closed. Access from the east from Dubois to Moran Jct. is also not advise as Hwy. 26 is still under construction. As might be guessed, it is really difficult to get here form anywhere. Where is your Workamper job. Carol and I are on our 6th season here in Grand Teton NP. Travel Safe.

We are going to Lutons Cabins In Moran Junction. We've never been this area before & are looking forward to a nice summer.Since you are old hats to this area, any suggestions on things we should not miss. Know we need to see Yellowstone, but what else? Thanks Teresa
