Valley of the Rogue State Park (Oregon)

The Valley of the Rogue State Park is located in the South of Oregon right off of I-5 (10 miles south of Grants Pass and 16 miles north of Medford). Reservations are easily made (800-452-5687). We are in a pull-through (81' long), full-hookup, 50 amps, and in the open (for our satellite dome). It is a very nice park with walking trails, lots of lawns, and adjoins the Rogue River. The cost for our site is $16/night. There is a WalMart Super Center and Fred Meyers in Grants Pass.

The Valley of the Rogue State Park is one of our favorite parks, we stay there as often as we can. Even though the F loop does not have full hook-ups, we like that loop best. The sites are spaced a little further apart and not as many vehicles driving through. Enjoy your stay there.

We spent a week there in Aug. We were in the last loop on the end of the road going in from the ranger station. In Grants Pass they have a good wood fired pizza at the Wind River Brewery and a cold brew to go with it. Do not think the Jet boats are running this late in the year but they are a blast.

Thanks, we may give the wine tasting a try today. We've enjoyed this park for years. It seems a lot of the State and National parks can't accommodate our bigger units and slideouts. This one works well. Glad to see others are enjoying this stop as well.

Thanks Trailer Trash2! We've been to this Park many times and didn't know about the Del Rio Winery. Just got back from the tasting and really enjoyed it. That's what we are finding is so great about this Forum -- all the shared info.

So Footloose, where are you? We are at Valley of the Rogue tonight (Thursday) and thought we would see you. But apparently you have moved on. Oh well, maybe another time.

We left Thursday morning. We're in Redding now, and moving on tomorrow to Yuba. Too bad we didn't meet up.

We usually get a late start in the mornings, so honk if you pass us. We have Texas license plates.
